Meet the Team

Hi there – for as far back as I can remember all I ever wanted to do was look after children. As a child, I found myself looking after the neighbours’ children rather than being off playing myself. So I guess its safe to say working with children and their families was always my ambition.

With now 32 years in the field, I have been very fortunate to work in a variety of settings including day nurseries, schools, children centres and even working abroad as a family nanny and many more.

I have worked both in the private sector and within the local authority. The opportunities I have had have enabled me to work alongside many different professionals and support families during many different stages of their parenting journey.

Over the years I began to realise that working with not only the children but with their whole family is just as important. Being able to offer support and guidance to these families who need it and share with them the knowledge I have gained over the years will enable them to be the best they can be.

Throughout my career I have strived to be the best I can be and continuously update my professional development.

My qualifications are:

Hi - I have over 25 years experience working with children and their families. During this time, I have worked as a personal nanny, nursery worker and family support worker, working with children and their families from birth up to 19 years old. 

In 2017 I decided that I needed to follow my passion for Early Years and so took voluntary redundancy from my role as an Operational Leads manager for Family Support. 

I decided to open my own company where I ran sessions such as Messy Play, Baby Massage, Baby Yoga, Sensory sessions and Parent & Child groups. 

It was refreshing to be delivering services which brought in my passion for Early Years and I had great fun getting messy every day!

However, I wanted to incorporate more services from pre birth and so have now joined forces with Shirley to provide parents with a more all round inclusive package. Hence..... Jump into Parenting was born.
